Old Holdens.

Holden is the name of a General Motors Subsidiary in Australia, during the 50's 60's & 70's they made cars that have come to be considered classics.

"Appendix J" FX Holden as raced by Peter Hindmarsh Ford in the late 1950's.

All the "Good Ones" were built by 1971, with the arguable exception of the "Torana" sports model which stayed good right up until 1978.

The car above is my fathers car, he raced this in the 1950's at Warrick Farm and Catalina Park, it was from all accounts, a very fast sled, it featured triple S.U carburettors and vacuum assisted drum brakes.

By the way, this page is actually a sub link in a cyber drama and not a web resource for holdens, old or new, search engines often make this kind of mistake.....
