| webgreetings Dear
Linear Scholar, February
2001 looks like it is going to go down as a defining month in the history of the BBt-PPP
because on the 5th of February I appear in court on charges of Cannabis Cultivation and
possession. I am hoping that the reality of my court case will be as relaxed and
professional an encounter as was my arrest.
The main problems that I can foresee
arising in court is a default property of the advocate that I have chosen to represent me
in court, me. You see I have no way of knowing what I am likely to say to further
incriminate myself once I stand in front of the judge, because I will be standing before
him unrepentant.
I will be standing there unable to
say that I will not do IT again and no more able to say that I am sorry
that I did IT in 2001 than I
was when I did IT in 2000 or
in 1999, in fact, I will never be sorry that I was able to do IT for as long as I did and the
only thing that I am sorry about is that I am not doing IT at the moment.
Which is exactly the opposite of
what any judge wants to hear and what's more, I wouldn't blame the judge if he put me away
for as long as possible for deliberately breaking a law.
Thing is, the magistrate can't find
me innocent and the law guilty, his job is to assess the penalty I receive for breaking
the law and the whole reason behind assessing a penalty is to deter me from breaking the
law again and since the only thing that will stop me from web casting is a life sentence
in jail..... See what I mean about self incrimination? If I truthfully answer the judge
then I go to jail and can't upload cannabis activism, if I say I won't do it again then I
can't upload cannabis activism.
Anyway, the chat room will
be open quite a bit over the weekend whilst I (we) prepare for the Court Case on the
Monday 5th of February, natcherally, every phase of the upcoming proceedings will be
documented and displayed in here for all to see as soon as possible.
Oh, one
last thing before I head back to the chat room, the
upcoming reality court case should not be confused with the fictional cyber
court case story that I wrote in 1998.
Till
next.
Peace.

P.S. the sound you "might be
hearing" is a snippet from The Man in the Dark Sedan by Snakefinger and the Residents.
