Reality Update, January-2001

Reality Last Updated @ 4:20 PM on Sunday January 21st 2001

webgreetings Dear Linear Scholar,

First time here? If so, first thing you need to know is that a Reality Update is something like a monthly status report to MISSION CONTROL and second thing is that I am real glad that you have found you way through the maze to these words.

If this is your first time here then you may feel a bit gypped, I mean the web cam ain't turned on, indeed, I wouldn't blame you for feeling somewhat pissed off.

Thing is,

there's not much I can do about it - Besides tell it like it is.

The web cam is broken, or to be more precise, the third web cam is broken, which means that I need to source a new parallel port web cam from some where.

Thing is,

parallel port web cams are obsolete and hard to find.

Thing is,

That I don't have the $ needed to buy a web cam - Shit, I don't got the $ to replace the inverter that just blew up either.

Thing is,

Quote from N.S.W Police Service
Arrest Facts Sheet #H11973108

that about 11:30 AM Friday Jan 2001 the occupiers notice was served on the defendant and he was cautioned. To the right of the house police located a total of 61 cannabis plants growing in a garden and pots. The cannabis plants ranged in height from 10 centimeters to 1 meter. The defendant was asked a number of questions in relation to the plants which was recorded on an audio cassette tape. (Audio Tape available for download here ;O) The defendant made full admissions and stated that he had planted them, watered them and looked after them. He stated that the plants were for the world wide web and he was just waiting until his camera was fixed. He stated he did not supply the cannabis and he did not have it growing for illegal purposes. The defendant then invited police inside his premises and inside hanging on a nail police located three dried stems and leaf of cannabis plants, the defendant stated they were for his own personal use. The defendant was issued Field Court Attendance Notices for the matters before court. Warrant executed with out incident or damage".

Thing is,

that this means that to go with my web cam woes, I have been arrested for the cultivation of the Cannabis Plants that were to have been the focus of the 2001 webshow.

Thing is,

that cultivating 61 plants is considered a reasonably serious crime in N.S.W and cultivating 61 plants carries a reasonably serious amount of jail time.

All is not lost.

little qwerty is still working and the chat room will be open quite a bit whilst I (we) prepare for the Court Case on the 5th February.

Natcherally, every single phase of the upcoming proceedings will be documented and displayed 'someweb' or other, and if I can get permission, I will be  introducing this web site - and all the pages linked to it as evidence in court.

Oh, one last thing before I head back to the chat room, the upcoming reality court case should not be confused with the fictional cyber court case story that I wrote in 1998.

Till next.
