Some Questions
and some Answers What is that Pipe Bomb looking thing I can see in the background at the Peace Camp?
So, what actually happens at Head Quarters? What -exactly- is it, that you do all day long? Since I'm primarily a wwwriter, I spend a large proportion of my time wwworking on the electronic book you are reading right now, weaving the thread of this web so to speak ;O)--~ An average day usually starts around 10 AM when I walk down to the Peace Camp, water the girls and boot up the qwerty, I spend an hour or so generating <hypertext> before I power up the modem and go on line, I usually open the chat room and turn on the web cam around noon and then it's a constant -upload -down load -mail in -mail out -make sure the web cam is working- kind of situation till around 7 PM when the sun goes down. Most days a wallaby or 2 hops thru the Peace Camp, the brush turkey always visits and there are innumerable kookaburras, butcher birds and magpies flying about the place, occasionally a human or 3 will visit HQ, depends, as it says in the Reality Update, HQ is past the end of a road rarely travelled and is quite isolated from mainstream society, time works differently up here, high in the hills above Nimbin, there is no rush to get anything done, things happen when they do and magic often happens. When are you going to smoke the plants and are you gunna share them? Well I am already smoking them and you can drop by anytime you are geographically convenient, for directions catch me in the chat room next time I'm on line and I'll tell you ;o)--~ What else do you do to further the reality of the BBt-PPP? I came to the realisation several years ago that I was never going to get the Big Bong Peace Pipe built until such time as the cannabis laws were changed back to where they where for the majority of recorded human history. To this end, I have been wwworking with the Nimbin HEMP Embassy over the last year or so, I took an active part in the 99 Mardi Grass, the Big Joint Cannabus Crusade and was part of the most peaceful and successful political demonstration ever held out side the NSW parliament house, I also constructed Graeme Dunstans' Home page and the Compassion Club, a Medicinal Cannabis Zone. Indeed, as I write these words I am the webweaver of the NHE, the Timbarra (save the rainforest) web zone and the 'soon to be officially launched' Australian Cannabis Law Reform Movement. Phew I get dizzy just writing it all down, but the point I am trying to get to is that there is a lot more political edge to the BBt-PPP than is obvious at first glance, but then- as they say - you shouldn't judge a web site by the eyecandy. Why don't you borrow the money to finance the construction from a bank or get an investor? Until cannabis is relegalized I cannot 'legally' raise the venture capital to build the BB-PP- not even as a movie set- I mean can you imagine the look on a bank managers face when he sees an application for an unsecured loan of several million dollars to bank roll a movie about the erection of a structure, that is, in effect, a gigantic illegal device? Now, Just for a second, imagine cannabis that is legal, all of a sudden, over night, the situation changes, now I can look that bank manager in the eye and say things like, the BBt-PPP is the marketing mechanism that will help kick start the Hemp Industry, I can add that the BBt-PPP movie set will become a Global Tourist Icon, a cannabist version of Disney Land that will create thousands of jobs and provide a unique experience for millions of people for years and years to come, the POTential of which, should ensure that anyone motivated by profit without risk, would invest in the BBt-PPP. What else have you got to say until more questions arise from the chat room? In a legalized cannabis world, the BBt-PPP is a guaranteed success, if you don't believe me, ask the next 100 people you meet if they would visit a 240 footer, even if the yes response is as low as one out of 100, that limits the potential global audience to a mere 60 million.....(or 3 times the current population of Australia;O)--~ As you can see, the BBt-PPP is a HIGH stakes venture, actually, now that I come to think of it, the lighting ceremony of the statue will be probably end up being a bigger event than the Sydney Olympics, I mean when it gets right down to it, who cares how fast dudes can run, jump or swim? The Olympics, talk about a non Y2K compatible concept.... Till Next, Peace, ;O)--~ |
